HOW TO ENTER and PLAY: Sweepstakes begins on March 1, 2010 at 12:00:00 PM ET and ends on March 29, 2010 at 11:59:59 AM ET (the "Promotion Period"). To play the “BIC Craft Madness Sweepstakes,” go to www.bicmarkit.com and follow the instructions on the Craft Bracket to vote on your favorite BIC Mark-It seasonal craft(s) for that week. Each week for 4 weeks participants will vote on their favorite BIC Mark-It seasonal craft(s). After voting on their favorite crafts, participants may enter the drawing for that week. To enter the weekly drawing, participants will complete and submit an Official Online Entry Form, including name, address (no P.O. boxes accepted), city, state, zip code, daytime telephone number (including area code), email address, and date of birth. For details on timing for weekly entries and drawings see Section 2 (below). Sponsor’s computer is the official time keeping device for this Sweepstakes.
Limit one (1) Sweepstakes entry per person/email address per week for the entire Promotion Period. Entries made with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities or through the use of an agent or other device or artifice to enter multiple times in any week will be deemed invalid. All entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Incomplete or corrupted entries are void. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, stolen, mutilated, destroyed, delayed, falsified, incomprehensible, misdirected, undelivered, garbled, damaged, incomplete, illegible, incorrect or inaccurate entries; or for any electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction; computer bugs or viruses; failures in servers or other connections; lost or interrupted or unavailable network, miscommunications, failed phone or hardware or software transmission failure or loss; delayed or corrupted data transmissions or for any other error of any kind, whether computer, technical, printing, typographical, human or other, relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the winners based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. By entering this Sweepstakes, participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judge(s), which shall be final, binding and conclusive on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: All online weekly entries must be received by the time and dates specified in the table below or they will be void. Potential winners will be selected in random Weekly Drawings on the dates and times specified in the table below from among all eligible entries received during the Weekly Entry Period. The Random drawings will be conducted by an independent judging organization. Winners will be notified by email within three (3) days of the Weekly Drawing. If the potential winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, declines to accept the prize, or Sponsor is unable to contact the potential winner within a reasonable period, or in the event that the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Winner confirmation is subject to verification and compliance with these Official Rules. Entries must be received during the Weekly Entry Period in order to be eligible for that Weekly Drawing. Non-winning weekly entries are not eligible for subsequent Weekly Drawings. All prizes will be awarded within 2-3 weeks after the winner is notified.
WEEKLY PRIZES (4): Four weekly prize winners will each receive a one hundred dollar ($100.00) check in the individual’s name and select BIC products. Average Retail Value (“ARV”): $150.00 each. Total ARV for all prizes is $600.00. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. No substitutions permitted except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. No transfer or assignment of any prize permitted. Odds of winning a prize in a weekly random drawing are dependent on the number of eligible entries received for that week. All prizes will be awarded. Taxes, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. Limit one (1) prize per person/family/household.
ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older. Void in Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam or other U.S. territories and where prohibited by law. U.S. federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Employees of BIC USA Inc. (“Sponsor”) and its parent company, divisions, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and anyone working directly on BIC promotion programs, and the immediate family members (parent, spouse, child, sibling and their respective spouses) and persons living in the households of such persons, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win any prize.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Entry constitutes permission for Sponsor to use any prize winner’s names, city and state of residence, and likeness for publicity, advertising and all other purposes, in any and all media now or hereafter known, including the Internet and social networking sites, without further notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law. Participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, and its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, advertising and promotion agencies, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Sweepstakes, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, agents and employees of the foregoing (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, actions, injury, loss, liability or damages of any kind whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, with respect to, or in any way arising from, participation in this Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize including, but not limited to, liability for personal injury (including death) and property damage or loss. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify this Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, unauthorized intervention or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, conduct a random drawing to award the prize(s) from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to time of such action.
