Meet Linda

We’d like to introduce you to Crafts By Linda – an expert crafter who we seek advice and craft tips from. Linda has been an avid crafter for over 15 years and loves inspiring creativity.

If you have any tips you would like to share or questions you would like to ask, we encourage you to do so…so that we can make your marking activities more colorful and fun!

How It Works

Welcome to the BIC Mark-It Ask a Crafter blog, where you can get tips and advice for all of your favorite crafts. Although we may not post answers to all questions we will do our best to read and respond to each one.

Budget Birthday Party Ideas - Day One

by Linda 22. February 2010 12:26

Day One

The key to a great birthday party without breaking the bank involves a little imagination, a lot of planning, research, and inexpensive products like BIC Mark-It™ Permanent Markers! BIC Mark-It™ Permanent Markers’ 36 bold, long lasting colors along with simple supplies like rolls of paper, cardboard boxes, household items and fabric helped me to transform my house into a fantasy themed birthday party for kids to enjoy!

But long before transforming my house, I had to sit down and put together a game plan and a budget. By following my 5 simple steps and using cost saving art supplies like BIC Mark-It™ Permanent Markers, you will be able to create a FABULOUS budget friendly party that won’t leave your pockets empty, but will leave the kids talking about your party for weeks!

STEP 1 – Pick a Theme

  • Pick a theme that is easy to recreate and that you are able to find party supplies for. Think out-of-the-box. Look for everyday inspiration and talk to your kids about their favorite things. Maybe create a theme out of your daughter’s favorite activity or your son’s favorite sport.

  • The theme should tie all elements of the party together—from the invitations to the decorations to the thank you cards.

Check back for tomorrow for Step 2 and additional party pictures!
