How It Works

Welcome to the BIC Mark-It Ask a Crafter blog, where you can get tips and advice for all of your favorite crafts. Ask our crafting expert specific questions on how to enhance your crafts to give it that extra flair. Simply click here to submit a question and our crafter will post weekly answers to questions. Although we may not post answers to all questions we will do our best to read and respond to each one.

Fancy Faux Easter Eggs

Q: Which colors are recommended for decorating eggs?

A: Depending on your preference, many different markers can yield great results. From the Fashion collection, try Sunset Orange and Rambunctious Red. From the Paradise Pastels collection, Polynesian Purple and Petal Pink look great!

Q: In addition to rhinestones, what other materials can be added to the eggs?

A: Be creative! Add two googley eyes, and then draw in a face with BIC Mark-It™ markers. Make a chick or a duckling for the Spring season. Felt and pom poms also make great features, such as hair or a nose.

Q: Where can I leave the eggs to dry after I paint them?

A: Actual egg cartons make excellent drying racks. Simply place your painted eggs in an unused carton while you wait for them to dry.
